I have to admit I am or should I say was an avid Doctor Fan, My favourite Doctor has to be John Pertwee, But those days are long gone, I Watched the new Doctor Series from Christopher Eccleson right through to The last one with David Tennant whose up there with the likes of Pertwee.
However I watch the first ones with Matt Smith and I had trouble warming to him as the doctor. But after watching a couple of the reruns of Series 6, and I have to admit I do like him. So I decided to give the latest 5 episodes of Series 7 a watch.
I was pleasantly surprised, I actually enjoyed them, The only problem I had was i hadn’t watched Matt smith from the start so some of the back story was lost to me, but I am as we speak watching them.
Its a hard role to fill the shoes of and there has been some disasters. Sylvester McCoy being the worst in my eyes especially that obnoxious Bonnie Langford as his companion.
All in all Matt Smith, is a good edition to the line of Doctor Who’s and I can only hope he stays on as the Doctor for a long time.
I am Glad I watched the latest episodes as it has brought me back to being an avid Fan again of Doctor Who. The casting is great the storyline is good, and the general feel of the programme is excellent.
I can’t wait for the next episodes to begin….. But for now I shall watch the ones I have missed and catch up.
Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
When Kelly suggested me reading this I thought she was being funny, as I felt as I suppose most of the male population it was a women s book. Is that wrong of me to say that, well some books are aimed at certain genders. And I thought this was one of them. But I was surprised to learn that a lot of men have read this book. So I gave in and began to read it . And I found myself becoming lost in it and finding it hard to put down.
Overall the book is in some parts badly written, but it got you intrigued to find out what happens next, The bedroom, lift, office, kitchen table scenes were very enlightening. and the story behind it was good. I can certainly see why women have read it so much. The problem is does it leave us men a huge target to live up too. Well my suggestion read the book, if you haven’t already.
When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.
Well this is a nice surprise, I was just looking through my app world on my Blackberry and to my joy. I found an app that allows me to control my pages…. So now I can write an entry from wherever I am….. This is going to be so much fun. I could find one for the other blog site I used. So I guess that sites now a little debunked.
Well onwards and upwards, best get some sleep as it has gone 2am. And I got to get up early as Kelly and I have a few things too do.
If all goes well I should have enrolled in a quit smoking clinic tomorrow, going to try (no sorry not try) going to give up smoking from the 1st of October, as part of the stoptober campaign, the NHS are running… This time its going to work, got to really do it this time, buying baca is basically taking food out of our mouths…
You know I was thinking earlier, I had to get rid of my car earlier this year, cause I couldn’t afford to run it, yet I managed to afford to smoke, something wrong there.
Well night night..
Right here goes, What to start with, you know that’s the most difficult bit, what do you blog about, I mean its all ok to say I did this and I did that, but when you think about it (well its properly just me) Its actually hard to put down in words what you have done.
So for now I think I’ll start with the basics…….
My Names Colin, I’m 42 (I think i’m losing it a bit I nearly put down 43) I live in (a house) Hastings, East Sussex. I am engaged to Kelly she also blogs on word press her’s is called Drums and Stitches. We have been together for a well it seams a life time but a good lifetime 🙂 . Kelly has 6 children +9 grandchildren, I have 3 children. Kelly and I have no kids together but we have a dog called Linidta shes a Westland Terrier, Shiatsu cross.
I am at this moment unemployed, but I used to work for Amicus Horizon which is an Housing Association. So at the moment I have a lot of free time, mind you saying that is normally used up with Job Hunting, which in this day and age isn’t easy.
In my spare time I read, play computer games, listen to music, watch movies, drum for Section 5 Drummers, I like photography which comes in handy with my astronomy, yes I am also an amateur astronomer. So there will be plenty to write about.
Ok so there’s the basics of me…… I’m not just going to write about my life on here but I shall review books, Movies I watch, and other things.
So lets do this
